Hesed has been a member of the Jerusalem Prayer Team since April 2002 and for this reason recite Psalm 122 every Sunday as well as taking an active interest in what goes on in Israel.

The Jerusalem Prayer Team is based on the Corrie ten Boom Foundation in Holland that has restored the ten Boom family's clock shop in Amsterdam, which was the site of weekly prayer meetings for the peace of Jerusalem led by the Christian family from 1844 to February 28, 1944 when family members were arrested by the Gestapo. They had been instrumental in saving nearly 800 Jews from the Nazi death camps.
