Sewer worker

Despite accounting for less than 2% of the population, Christians make up over 80% of all sewer workers in Pakistan.
In addition, not even the most basic protective equipment is provided to workers despite lethal gases collecting underground.
These dangerous conditions have already killed six Christian workers this year.
Write to the Pakistani High Commissioner about the long-term mistreatment of Christians, and other religious minorities in Pakistan’s sanitation and sewer work industry.
A sample letter can be found here.
You can read more and sign an online petition here.

Leah Sharibu.”

An audio recording and a photograph of Leah Sharibu (15) were published on August 27th.
Boko Haram then released a video of the killing of Saifura Husseini Ahmed, a 25 year old Muslim midwife and mother.
"We contacted the government through writing and also sent audio messages, but the government have ignored us.
So, here is a message of blood," said Boko Haram.
If their demands aren't met; "The other nurse and midwife will be executed in similar manner in one month, including Leah Sharibu."

Leah's younger brother has been evacuated to continue his education in safety, and adding to the family’s stress, robbers' broke into the Sharibu home on Monday September 10th.

Pray for her parents, Nathan (Nathaniel) Sharibu who is a Police Officer, mother Rebecca, Leah's brother, Donald (13), and her younger sister.

Leah Sharibu.”

If your brother was unfairly imprisoned, what would you want people to do about it? Watch this video, 'Release David', for some answers. It's under two minutes long, and makes an ideal introduction to the issue of Christian persecution.
