Petition for   IRAQ

Open Doors asked church leaders and Christians from Syria and Iraq what would give them hope.
They highlighted three things: equality, dignity and responsibility.
One million voices can make this happen.
Will you join with others around the world - including Christians in the Middle East - in calling for a hope and a future for Christians and others in that region?

Gao Zhisheng

Gao's disappearance comes one week after he gave a rare interview to New Tang Dynasty Television.
On August 7th he told NTD Television via telephone that everyone in China has lost their freedom and are living like they are in prison.
Gao's brother discovered he had vanished when he attempted to join him for breakfast.
He was last seen on Sunday August 13th.

Maryam Naghash

On 1st August 2017 - Maryam Naghash Zargaran (also known as 'Nasim') was released from prison.
She was told that she has been banned from leaving Iran for six months.

If your brother was unfairly imprisoned, what would you want people to do about it? Watch this video, 'Release David', for some answers. It's under two minutes long, and makes an ideal introduction to the issue of Christian persecution.
