With speaker from Release International
Pembroke Apostolic Church, SA71 4AH
PPSC 13th Anniversary in Pembroke Dock, May 2019
Hesed has become increasingly aware of the widespread persecution of over two hundred million Christians in sixty countries. We work together with Christian charities including Barnabas Fund, Open Doors, Release International, Christian Solidarity Worldwide, and Link to Hope, helping to make a difference.
The fellowship organises a monthly county-wide Pembrokeshire Prayer for the Suffering Church meeting in various locations and churches. There we hear what’s happening, pray together for our brothers and sisters and find out what we can do to help.
PPSC provides opportunities not only for informed prayer but also for sending cards of encouragement, advocacy letters, and freewill gifts.
From time to time PPSC invites speakers from specific organisations working with Christians encountering persecution or hardship.
Every effort is made to ensure that meetings are not overly distressing, despite the severity of some situations. PPSC aims to be encouraging, informative, practical and person centred. We may not be able to help everyone, but we can make a difference for individuals and families.
Admission is free, and there is never any pressure or obligation to give money.
All expenses are met, so 100% of donations go directly to the chosen charity or appeal designated on the monthly sheet.
Refreshments are provided by the hosting venue at the end of the meeting.
Past PPSC meeting in Narberth
PPSC meetings are held at different Pembrokeshire venues, on the last Tuesday of each month (except December).
We are very grateful to Mick for researching and presenting the meetings. See our news page for the latest updates from the Suffering Church.
His Majesty the King, when he was HRH Prince Charles the Prince of Wales, highlighted the plight of persecuted Christians.
Today millions of Christians around the world are forced by persecution to meet in secret, worship underground and pray in silence. If they are caught the consequences are severe.
