About Hesed

Based in South Pembrokeshire, Hesed Christian Fellowship is a grassroots group of people from various churches who share a commitment to support their fellow brothers and sisters.

PPSC

Monthly ‘Pembrokeshire Prayer for the Suffering Church’ meetings raise awareness of Christians around the world facing hardship or persecution. Prayer is combined with action.

News

Our blog contains up-to-date news about Hesed, PPSC, our friends and the charitable causes we support. These include Link to Hope, Open Doors, Release International and many others.

Peter’s House

Founding Pastor Peter Richmond was a much loved family man, a story teller and a very practical person, dedicated to helping others and passionate about the Jewish roots of Christianity.

Hesed Christian Fellowship is proud to support the following charities, both as individuals and through Pembrokeshire Prayer for the Suffering Church…

  • Release International The voice of persecuted Christians, Release has provided us with contacts in the UK and overseas, visiting speakers and regular updates for years.
  • Open Doors take as their text 1 Corinthians 12:26: “When one part suffers, every part suffers with it.” We have been pleased to invite Open Doors speakers and use their resources, including the World Watch List.
  • Barnabas Aid is a charity concerned with the persecuted church, reaching even the most closed and challenging countries. The ongoing support of Hesed has helped ensure one of their projects will stand the test of time.
  • Link to Hope is a Christian charity rebuilding lives in Eastern Europe through education and social care. Their shoebox appeal each Christmas gets plenty of local support... and it's amazing to see the joy such simple gifts can bring to families.
  • Compassion offers prayerful and sustained sponsorship of children through their local church communities. Whole families benefit, and regular letters can forge lasting relationships.
  • Tear Fund is a Christian charity with a passion for ending poverty. They provide vital aid in the midst of disasters as well as working with churches to unlock people from cycles of poverty.

  • Eternal Word Ministries work in India and Nepal but have strong links with Pembrokeshire, with Pastor John making regular visits. They also offer child sponsorship schemes. Through this charity Hesed helped to provide fresh water for a leper colony.
  • Free Burma Rangers is a brave, highly trained humanitarian movement bringing help, hope and love to people in the conflict areas of Burma, Iraq and Sudan.
  • Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) stands with everyone who faces injustice because of their religious belief.
  • International Christian Concern is source of news through their magazine and website, Persecution.org . Their ‘initiatives’ offer opportunities to get involved and make a difference.
  • Church in Chains is a charity based in Ireland offering up-to-date news, a global guide identifying the areas of worst persecution, and ways to encourage Christians who are suffering.
  • Morning Star News, founded by Jeff M. Sellers, is the only independent news service that focuses exclusively on persecuted Christians.
